...for ranking school majors according to their difficulty???

i honestly believe that a science major such as biology or chemistry is more difficult than communications or sociology.

don't get me wrong, i DO NOT look at people differently because of the major they are studying. i'm also not sayig i can be good at these less difficult majors. i give people love for even wanting to go to school.

i think of it this way.... i believe its more difficult to be a mechanic than it is to be a sales man, but it doesn't mean that the mechanic can do the job of a salesman.

however, i do cringe and give the occasional :eh: when people from some less difficult major complain about midterms or homework because i feel that they really don't know what stressing really feels like until you try taking organic chem or anotomy.

When people complain about their intro to composition papers while I'm cramming for my Japanese exams, I tend to kill them and hide the bodies in the basement of my apartment building.

um, its all relative. theres a lot of engineering students who have the hardest time PASSING polisci classes. i took all the req'd calculus (5quarters), physics (4quarters), chem, etc. but i graduated with a soft-science degree (double in political science and sociology).

i do however see some kinda superiority complex among the hardscience people.. and most of 'em are usually fobs. i jus shrug it off as them being losers that have to tell themselves that theyre better than others by saying they have "tougher" classes.

 

I'm with you on that bro. Engineering/science majors are much harder than communications will ever be.

 

I think difficulty of a subject is ...well...subjective to the person taking the course.

I know people that struggle through Cad programs for 2 years to get their certificate...then I also know people who sat down with AutoCad and a book and in 4 months taught themselves the ins and outs of it enough to get some rather high paying jobs.

Just depends on the person taking the course really.

 

I laugh when people from other easier schools complain about a class. You have no friggin idea.
