this may be a stoopad question but its a question nonetheless!! i stripped my oil drain bolt on my neon and i went and bought a new one!! the new one came with a black plastic (kinda like a ring) around the "washer" area of the bolt, do i take it off or is it supposed to be there??h:

i really dont know...the washers i use are metal.

 

no the washer is metal but it has like a plastic thingy around it!! i thougt it was for protection while in display at the store, but i dont want to risk any leaks!!



**edit** the plastic thingy is kinda like the plastic things people put on keys!!
