Hehe tutoring fobs
I'm an English tutor (somehow eased into this job... :dunno: ) who works privately or at a centre since my friend opened up a place.
I'm doing mostly other University students, all fobs. I have no idea how they managed to get into some of these 4th year courses, especially the writing intensive ones.
For some reason this year I am getting offers from fobs to do/help their assignments (good money, what idiot pays $100 for a one page summary haha) and for some ODD reason those papers are the same marks or higher than my own papers.
I'm guessing it is because they go to class and can't speak very well, but then turn in a decent paper so the TA gives them a high mark. :dunno:
Kind of sucks though for those papers to have higher marks then the ones I really try on. :happysad:

well you just answered your own question as how they get through those writing classes, because other people do it for them, probably other work too. Then our parents yell at us, who we're born in the US, for not doing so well in school like the FOBs are

I am technically a fob... but I never used anyone's help to do any of the papers on the English classes I had to take. But then again going to a school that was under the University of Cambridge, London may have something to do with that. Don't make a hasty generalization on fobs, a lot of them can speak/write better english than most of us put together.
