Default Can a Vette really average almost 30MPG on the highway?

V8, 5.7L, 350HP

And they still get almost 30MPG on the highway?

That's what my GS-R make... with a 4-banger 1.8L and only 170 Ponies... aww... I feel for imports and domestics now...

Yes... also depends on how you drive it. My friend has one, but his city mileage blows.

Well if you ever felt the 6th gear in that car, you'd understand.

I think all manual Hondas should be 6 speeds with a super high 6th gear. If my tranny had a 6th gear it would own. But instead I'm at 4000rpms at 80mphs

RSX-S engine/tranny would probably easier. But not worth the $10,000 for that swap if it is even possible.

the only reason that most of the cars aren't getting 40+ mpg's every where is because of the govt. if manufacturers started making most of their cars like that, the govt would demand 50 mpg out of all cars.

Well they can afford to spin at 1750 RPM @ 80 MPH because of all their torque. I don't think an Integra could do that...am I right? Or am I disillusioned?

I smell :bs:

of course if you start kicking diesel engine in, you would know they get 60 MPG easily and are already very popular in Europe... but as far a 40MPG gasoline performance engine... you should know better since you drive an import...
