An agent called and ask if we can work on Xmas eve. My normal charge is $500 for 3 hours and $50 travel. I'm thinking of charging $700 or $750 since it is Xmas Eve.

What would you do?

When I did freelance computer repair, clients could call me at any hour, but they knew that if they needed my help at 3 in the morning, my rate was double...

Which means my "inconvenience" rate was at where your normal rate sits... damn...

 

$750 for 3 hours should be good?

Xmas day I have a 5 hour party that I'm charging $1200, in Palm Springs Marriot. But its 100 miles away.

i would charge double considering it is Xmas eve. also, keep the hours minimal and don't work past 4pm

 

The party would be at night most likely 7-10 or 8-11 pm.
