While I confess I was rather depressed at the idea that you'd shy away from your responsibilities- to own up to what you did wrong and face the consequences- the fact that you're going to be truthful has a lot of merit. And I guess I didn't make it clear that in the end, I for one am glad you've chosen to do the right thing.
Reflect on the impact this has had on the other driver, and on your standing with your parents. Reflect on the principle of self-control.
