Default CPU Fan/heatsink Athlon XP 1800+????

What should I use? I'm sick of having temps of 60*C at idle. I clean the fan/heatsink every 2 month's. I want it to run at about 45*C idle, 50's under load.

thnx ppl links to place's I can order are appreciated.

I have this model:

http://www.thermaltake.com/coolers/v.../rs/a1889b.htm

For maximum cooling, this thing is just a fucking beast:

They're both solid copper and weigh a hojillion pounds. h:

thats running a tad hot....first try buying some thermal grease (artic silver 3, ceramique)

if that doesnt drop much try lapping it...if not buy thermalright.. thermaltake is okay, thermalright and zalman have the best performing HS's.....http://svc.com/thslcl.html i'd get that

sand the bottom of the heatsink so it doesnt have the microscopic hills and valleys

take wet sandpaper, start with a low grit...300-400....have a strip of it...take the heat sink and place the paper on a flat surface(glass) then firmly go down the paper in one motion with the heatsink....rotate the base 90 degrees after a few strokes....then move on to next higher grit until ur satisfied

but the thermalright 900 is only 20 bucks, it has a coupon
