Default DIY Krew - Tire Plug - Halp

Got a nail in my front right tire. It held air for extended periods for a long time, but the leak has gotten worse, to the point where I have to put in air every couple days. I took the wheel to Discount/America's tire today, and they said they couldn't fix it because the inside was too worn due to camber (I'm assuming it's a liability issue here in nazi land). It's really not due to camber, but because the air pressure has been low a bunch of times while driving on it. They said they could only replace the tire, and then because of the car I drive, only do a set of 4. Eff that. The other 3 tires are fine. Which brings me to my next point. Has anybody used a DIY tire plug kit? If so, how well did it work? Do I have any other options here (Fix a flat, slime, etc)?

This is the culprit. A nail in the center of the tread...looks like it's gone in a bit sideways.

Thanks dudes!

DIY? Get a small shop to do it for $15 No warranty and rebalancing consists of making a crayon mark on the tire and rim and realigning that

That's exactly what I was thinking...a little tire plug kit. Works ok for a few months?

Brett, you'll probably want to patch and plug it.

If you remember my most recent flat tire, that's right where it was as well. Find a small shop to fix it.
