I have 2 of them... one at home and one at work. Both are sitting under MS Intellimice Explorers. One is old school and the other is newer. It's a big pad... at home I actually use 2 mice on it it's so big.

I've heard ratpadz is one of the better ones, but what makes them so good compared to the other mouse pads out there?

Well it's a hard plastic. Not a rubber mat with some cloth. Easier to clean. Doesn't pick up dirt as easy... I've also been using it for quite a few months now at work and at home and haven't noticed any wear on the surface at all.
It's made by Everglide. www.everglide.com
Just very well made!
