Default Morning routines.

Now that I'm back to being a morning person (for now at least), what's your routine?

- Wake up, been aiming for about 5:30
- Check notifications on phone, scan for anything important looking
- Find breakfast (bagel or cereal during the week, with creamer and a splash of coffee.. or juice)
- Pop a One a Day Men's VitaCraves
- Turn on the local news, crack open the laptop, and do my forum runs
- Grab a bottle of water and do a mile or two on the treadmill
- Shower, prepare for work (if scheduled)

Weekend routine is a little more lax, and we are attempting to do something different for breakfasts other than cereal.. make pancakes, french toast, eggs, ham, whatever's in the fridge that isn't cold and soggy.

Wake up at 5am
Make coffee, breakfast, pack lunch
Drive GF to train
Come home and shower
Eat and drink and watch TV
Go to work
Come home
Pick up GF from train
Make or get dinner
Watch TV or play video games or hang with GF
Sleep.

Throw in a :jerkit: between any of those things...

It's very difficult for me to get up in the morning, I'm suppose to be at work at 7am, I usually dont get to work till around 8-830am...h:

I don't really have a routine other than trying to wake up when my alarm goes off at 6am.

When working at the office ...
1. Wake up at 6am
2. Look at iPad for 5 minutes (email, weather)
3. Think about calling in for 2 minutes
4. Head to the bathroom, piss, wash hands, brush teeth, turn on portable heater, close door behind me
5. Pack my work bag and pick clothes for the day
6. Head back to the bathroom, brush teeth again while shower is warming up
7. Turn on AM news radio for the traffic reports
8. Shower and shave at the same time
9. Dry off, get changed
10. Before getting completely ready to leave, head outside and start the car, come back in
11. Lace up my shoes, get my outerwear on, go
12. Drive for 15 minutes to the trainstation

When working from home ...
1. wake up at 8am
2. piss, wash hands, brush teeth
3. find a sweatshirt
4. head downstairs
5. turn on computer

This. I am horrible about bailing on people or convincing myself to sleep in when I am sleep deprived. I've called off a few times due to this or just plain not feeling like going in and putting up with peoples bullshit. That is something I've really been working on changing. That, and I've been getting to work 20-30 minutes early lately. Feels good to not always been 2-3 minutes late. My general rule of thumb for relieving people at work is if a call comes in 30 minutes or less to shift change, I'll meet ya on scene. Otherwise, I'm going to base to meet up with my partner (unless he is relieving the same crew) if you don't make prior arrangements.

supposed to be up at 7:30, get up around 8:30
shower
get dressed
wake up kid, get her dressed and ready
pour coffee
put dogs outside
drop kid off at babysitter
get to work

lately, the kid has been getting up at 7:30 and crying until I get her, so I leave her with my wife while I do a quick shower. Usually makes my wife late.
