Depends on how fast they're going. If i'm going the speed limit, or especially over it, and someone does that to me, I slow down.

IMO, that's the only time it's remotely acceptable to tailgate someone. And then, only if they aren't going faster than traffic in the other lanes, there's room ahead of them, and they are going at or below the speed limit. And then it's only a signal that they need to move over, and if they don't take the hint, I'll back off.

only if you're passing cars. if you're going the speed limit or over it and not passing cars, move over. i'm sure you do

on my daily commute to work there's three lanes of traffic, the far right is for merging on and off, middle is for normal speed and the left is for passing the middle lane, which is normally the speed limit and a line of ten cars.

lady tried tailgating me to get me to move over, when there's eight other cars in front of me... i just slowed down and eyed her in my rear view, she backed off.

I do not tailgate, but I will flash the lights. In Florida though, you get stuck behind some youthfully challenged drivers who clearly do not get it. Which is frustrating since the highway is 4-5 lanes wide.

If someone is riding the passing lane and not moving over for faster traffic regardless of if they are going at or above the speed limit it is rude. However, tailgating is also rude. I normally wait a minute or two behind them at a safe distance. Give them a flash of my lights so I know they see me. If they still don't move over I will eventually pass on the right side.

As will I. Lately though, I get more pissed off at fools passing on the right. I know the frustration, but it's still absurdly dangerous.
