i am skeptical if man city might do it again. although they are the best contention to man utd as of right now.
balotelli needs to pick his game up.
i am also on the rooney hatewagon, but you gotta give it up to him.
great goal from sunday
for some reason it buffers in the middle of the video, but it's the best video out there that i can find.
and for those that don't know...
90 goals in the calendar year, two matches left.

Messi is god status. Love the fact how he is humble and not a real cocky guy for having such an immense talent.

Soccer highlights are awesome, and I love seeing them on ESPN. The guys are crazy athletic and some of the things they can do are unbelievable.
Soccer games themselves are largely boring. It's like the old saying about war -- soccer is 85+ minutes of boring and then 5 minutes of sheer terror/excitement. I tried to get into it during the last World Cup, but the way the game is officiated absolutely infuriated me. So the ref can take a goal away from the USA and then doesn't even HAVE TO SAY WHY?!? Kind of lost me at that point.
I know it. In the Nuggets-Spurs game last night, at the end of the 3rd quarter the Nuggets were up by about 15. The Spurs intentionally fouled Javale McGee 5 possessions in a row to force him to shoot free throws (he was 4/10 and is generally under 50%). Nuggets wouldn't even get the ball across half court and they'd foul McGee on the other side of the court. Not quite flopping, but just as bad for the game. Nugs had to take McGee out so they could keep playing. I feel like the refs should be able to call Technicals in situations like that.
So roughly 4+% of games will end in a 0-0 tie? That's about an infinite amount more than NFL, NHL, NBA, or MLB will have in a season. Not to mention all the 1-1 and 2-2 ties. ;-)

there are some bad calls, but it's somewhat rare. an offsides is missed here and there. they are working on it with goal line technology, it was just used (tested two systems) for this past weekend's club world cup.
i feel like i'm on the defense here. watch it or don't watch, i could watch it all day long.
and if you have the channel bein sport, you need to watch a la liga game with this guy announcing. i introduce to you, ray hudson.
i watched two hours of a delayed argentina vs. brazil game, just to listen to him talk.
