interesting motor swap - just curious
to make a long story short, i work at Lexus and we had a Honda Oddysey on trade in and i had to deliver it today. of course i got on it to see what it had and what not, and to my suprise it was actually pretty quick. so i checked under the hood to see what it had and it was the 3.5 liter J35 motor with 260 horsepower. i was wondering if it was possible to put this motor into a 6th gen accord considering it is a J series motor which would be similar to the J30 V6 motor. if it were possible, it would give the 6th gen the same power output as the new 7th gen V6.
FYI=just curious about the swap. no intentions whatsoever of doing this. it was just something that popped into my mind at work.

It's very possible, my cousin (who's experience over 30 yrs in car mechanics) said it can be done, but more engine bay modification though. He said it can even fit in the 5th Gen. Major works are needed.

it is very possible for a 6th gen... with relatively minor work.. the motor is not much larger than the j30.
Oh, and some horsepower corrections... in the odyssey's first few years in its newer design, the motor had 200hp... in 2001 they upped it to 240hp... Only the MDX has the 260hp 3.5.
You'd also be getting a 5-speed auto if you get the 240hp odyssey motor or the 260hp MDX motor.
