1/4 mile time guess?
Hey i have a 94' eg6 civic hatch with a B16a2, At the moment i have these perf mods:-
ITR S80 tranny with LSD (shorter 1,2+3rd ratios than original tranny)
Mongoose full exhaust inc de-cat (sus 304, mandrel bent etc)
NGK Iridium plugs
Performance HT leads
Induction kit (Ram cold air feed to it)
stripped interior (just dash, door cards and seats left)
(Ive ordered a DC 4-1 header but its not arrived yet!)
I have had it dynoed at 174bhp with 121ftlb torque (max power at 7900rpm)
It has a nice smooth power curve too + seems to be running ok..
I know thers alot of things to take into consideration inc the most important a good driver!! I am a pretty good driver, but even if i'm not what type of time would a good driver in good conditions get ya reckon???
My freind has a vauxhall corsa with a 2.0 150bhp motor in it and his best is 14.9-15.1 1/4mile, he seems to be a pretty good driver but my car leaves his for dead on the road!
thanks for any help, i know its all hard to say but i'm just looking for a base figure! ste
Also will the header make a big differance?

Yeh i have the dyno right here. I got it done in chester, a place called mike'canics. I dont think its a dodgy dyno place, as the company 'collins performance' use it, ther the main dealers for mongoose exhausts in the UK and i deal with them through Halfords(large parts/mod company in UK) Ther also major cosworth tuners.
this is ther website www.mongooseexhausts.com. Check it out!
I'll try find a friend with a scanner and ill put the dyno sheet on here.
However, no ones answered my Q, any ideas on what time i'd run? (saying i am running that power) Thanks for any help

honestly....at the track i noticed it doesn't matter what car you have its all in the driver. i saw a type r running 14.6's and i ran a 14.7 in my gsr. Only way to really find out your time is to get to the track. Goodluck when you go though

I know the drivers the most important factor so i guess i'm just gonna have to get down there then (santa pod closest to me)
I'll already have my header on when i next go ther, i'll get it dynoed b4 too.
I'll keep everyone informed of what power increase i see from the header too
cheers 4 any help.

hmm..i have the same problem, not meaning to whore or anything, but i have a 93 GSR with a Jdm B-18c, on the track my best was a 15.1 at 94 mph, ive got two friend's, one with an old cressida, and one with an RSX, the cressida put out 142.7 to the ground, and the RSX puts down 180.i can tare the cressida a new asshole, and the RSX will take me by a length and a half.i havent dyno'd i have used a computer program called desk top dyno. its mostly accurate, and say's i should be putting down 178whp. how in the hell is the rsx pulling me the way he does, i am a fairly decent driver, never grind, and i know when to shift, and how the feather the clutch from a dig, i can pull a 2.1 in the 60ft on street tires..

I am running 14.7 at 95 mph with my 92 si hatch, that weighs in at 2240 without me in it. It has gone on a slight diet. I have a stock b18c1 with i/h/e and thats it, but I know my times will improve once I get my 60fts from consistent 2.3 sec. to 2.1, 2.2 sec 60fts. Thats the plan now, just get my launches down and I believe 14.5s are possible.
anyways I believe if you can drive decent you should run mid to high 14's.
