Default Car is broke. Won't Move. Help please.

For the past week or two, i've noticed when I turn corners sharp, there is a clicking sound coming from the drivers front side. So today, the car was goin great, I pull onto a side street and make a u-turn. As I pull back out on the road, the car starts pulling hard to the left when I give it gas, I let off the gas and I hear a clicking. I release the clutch and try to give it gas and the clicking gets LOUD and the car won't move. I had to push it over to an empty field.

When I push in the clutch, I hear a click, and when I release the clutch, I hear "clack!, clack!, clack!, clack!". It gets harder and louder the more I release the clutch and the car won't move. What happened?

I need help fast because the car is sitting in a field right now.

Car is 94 Civic Ex 5 speed.

I would put money that the CV joint is gone or real close to going.

Pump it up into the air and take a look at it. Put it in gear and by hand move the tire back and forth, if there is a lot of play or you hear a lighter version of that clack then it is 99% likely your CV is wasted.

Buy a new axle, take the old one out and pop the new one in. With hand tools it shouldn't take much more than an hour depending on how much beer is in your system...usually 20 minutes is all it takes with air tools

I would put money on the CV joints. The clicking noise in turns is a pretty classic symptom of a CV joint on it's way out. Unfortunately, you probably need to tow the car home to start working on it...

I just talked to my mechanically inclined friend, and he said he'd do it in the dirt when he gets off work tonight. So i'm pretty stoked. Wish me luck.

Good luck man. Just make sure that the jacks are secured firmly in the dirt so they don't slip from under the car.

my money's on the clutch. Maybe one of your little springs came out in the disk. It's been known to happen.
