Default painting wheels...sorta anyway....

ok, I have stock alloys on my accord, and I cant afford new wheels any time soon, so I was wanting to repaint my wheels. However, I dont really want to paint the entire wheel. The center cap thing for all 4 wheels has paint chipped off and makes the rest of the wheels look like crap. The other part of the wheels looks great, so how would I go about painting these caps? Can someone run me through the basics of spraypainting, sanding, wetsanding, etc so I dont make these look worse than they already do?

sand down the surface using 300 grit sand paper, prime, then sand down the primer with 600 grit sand paper, wipe off dust with a dry cloth, and paint 3 coats. Make sure you take your time painting so you dont get any runs.

also try to find the brand spray paint plasti-coat... that seems to bond the best to plastics.
