Repairing curbed wheels (and effect on wheel balance?)
my set of CL wheels came in and 2 of them are curbed much worse than i expected. The spokes sit higher than the lip, so when the guy curbed the wheels, it curbed the lip/edge and the spokes as well... so now, how should i go about repairing, or cleaning up the large curb sections? they are 1 1/2 to 2 inches long (across the entire width of the spoke), and moderately deep.
what is the best way to smooth out the curb marks? should I sand them down w/ low grit emery cloth? and if I do.... should I be worried about the wheel balance since only some spokes got curb damage while others don't?
any other suggestions?
