Im not out to hassle you... I was just giving my opinion on what could be done to further improve these photoshops... even I can admit the faults of my photoshops... :fawk: the website is:

http://www.worth1000.com

some of my work (small version):

http://www.worth1000.com/web/media/6299/ghost.jpg

original can be found here:

yes, all that chit behind the girl was a bitch to put in and look right... if you know anything about photoshop, a section that big and detailed is hard

http://www.worth1000.com/web/media/6299/hobby.jpg

This one was made from 2 pictures... all background and "table" were made in photoshop, the bottle wasn't sideways in the original picture, the label wasn't sideways in the original... it was from the front, if you look closely you can see the detail work on the back end of the bottle using reflections, and some other details that I won't go into...

ANYWAY... these competitions aren't "take this picture and see what you can do to it competitions, these are actual contests, give you a subject and find your own pictures and such and photoshop them, in HIGH quality... the photoshop I did for this is a half-assed one I did at 2 in the morning... :fawk:

Oh yeah... here was my updated version of #9:

Pointers: Where you run into problems on photoshopping cars is transparencies (on the window for windshields, and on the side if you try to tint and darken it too much)... put the windows on their own layer and work with them to lower or raise the opacity to get the desired effect...also there should be a slight concaving effect of the area behind the glass from certain angles....
also color changes in paint, you can fix this by using multiple layers, desaturating, then applying color to all layers, and then using the hue/contrast adjustment to change to the perfect color you want...
Wheels are a big point of believability, if the bottom of the wheel doesn't meet up with the shadows right, or the tires aren't wide enough it takes away from believability, also, tires aren't just black, unless the car is just real dirty, even then the wheel should have some highlights to contrast with the wheel well...
Lowering.... there is a point when the lowering gets too low, and the wheels shouldn't just go up into the wheel well (ie. bring the chassis down over the wheels until the chassis is as low as you want... the wheel well should be filled in around the wheel to the point that it normally would on a car

I voted for #1. Looks much cleaner than a lot of the chops in the thread.

I also liked 5... but the backwards writing on the wing and side of the car made me shy away from it. But it still looks nice.

i admit that 1 is very nicely done and very clean but is visuly way too much like an rsx. 5 looks much more unique.
