Can you DIY eyelids?

Can you Do It Yourself a pair of eyelids for a 94 Civic? Would it be cost effective? Any links or pics anyone could share?

I've seen vinyl (the same stuff that is used to make decals) used but headlights aren't flat and they always wrinkle or bubble. You can find eyelids on ebay for cheap.

Are you putting them on the stock headlights? Just wondering because aren't the nipples in the way for you to have eyelids?
