Well thats a question with many answers, i prefer Vis Racing. some prefer Seibon, but Vis i think is the number 1 seller of CF Hoods. and yes you can paint over them. i bought mines from Vis, check out their website http://www.visracing.com/

I'm getting a VIS oem style hood for my car, they're the nicest ones I've seen and I've heard good things about them. You can paint cf hoods too.

Got an OEM style VIS on my girls car, its nearly flawless. Had it for a year & half. I recomended she get it sanded & re-finish the clear coat due to a few minor chips. Comes with a good hood latch too which I hear cheaper brands don't have.

Yea, i'd go with vis. Had one on my gsr. Vis cf hoods have a real nice shine and the clear coat looks nice and thick on them, unlike some others where they looks like there was barely any clr coat put on.
