depends on the kit...if its got mugen's name on it....nice but so many kits are only for look and serve no real aerodynamic purpose...it takes a well designed/tested body kit to help and not hurt the aerodynamics aspect of the car....i think it all depends on your taste....i use to love them but now i like simple/clean look

Every time I see one of those huge shit invader/EVO III/whatever other terrible shit they have on a stock civic, I make a point to go jump on it to break it off, then I stomp it into a million little pieces.

i think there are like certin bodykits that are gay as fuck. there are some clean ones but youll end up spending the money for a clean look and a nice fit. bodykits have become cliche and thats why most people dont like them. i actually recently bought a bodykit. but it looks almost stock just the new bumper cover that looks a bit longer then stock. i personally regret buying it. but at the time that i bought it was a cheaper option then stock for the damages that where done to my car. but because my bodykit fits right over the stock bumpers that when i get some more money saved up for stock bumpers i shall return back to the stock look. but for now im stuck with the kit because i cant return it. and im tried of driving around in a dented up ek coupe. so really i hate the cliche bodykits like the invader/buddyclub/evoIII and any of the other ebay claim to fame bodykits.

In my opinion body kits can be a cool way of making your car stand out from the rest of the cars out there, I totally respect the idea of keeping the clean factory lines, but that's not for everyone. I myself like the idea that if anyone sees my car on the street they know it's my car, even from 50 yards away, not my 50 year old aunts integra and that you won't see a car quite like mine on the road. Body kits do take ALOT more work to get to fit right and look the way you want them to than you think, I work in a body shop and have seen some horrible fitment and finish issues, so don't think you're going to take that thing out of the box, paint it and bolt it right up, they usually come out of the box wavy and you'll have to bondo/poly the thing then block sand it to straighten it out, then it's up to you to figure out how to get it all to line up and bolted down. If you let a body shop do it all for you, it'll come out looking good, but just know that the $400 you spend on ebay to get the kit is just the beginning. Here's a pic of my GSR, flame on. Yes the interior was a mistake, it sounded like a good idea, that'll be my next project.

i think it also depends on where you are in life..when i was 15 and just getting into hondas, i thought body kits were awesome...but as i grew older, i realized they're not really that cool anymore. i'm glad i got older before i got my car or else i think i would have gotten made fun of a lot h:
