Never heard about the wheel weakening after powdercoating. But depending on where you get it done, it could come out to around 25-35/wheel to get them coated (this may, or may not include the removal of old paint).

Thats just the "default" term used by many to destinguish the gens. If you look in the VIN, there is no EKx. It would be EJx. Example: EG9, EG8, EJ1, EM1
