Default good way to remove tape? well the left over sticky shit...

My Accord that I bought a few weeks ago was repainted when the guy still had it like 2 days before I bought it, shitttttty ass 350 dollar paint job might I add. Going to have to get it repainted prolleh in may or june if I'm lucky. But the stupid company tried their hardest(sarcasm) to take the paint off the tail lights, and in the cracks of the trunk where the lid sits and where it sits on the bottom. I was going to try hot hot water & a boxcutter but that, needless to say, didn't really work. I need a good fast way to get it off w/o doing anything bad to my tail lights or anything else. Tips?

they have this thing called Goo Gone at Home Depot, it's a little bottle of yellow liquid, it works really well. pour some on a bounty paper towel, dab it over the sticky stuff, and then wipe up and down against the sticky stuff and it falls right off. Goo Gone.

May I ask who painted the car? And yes, Goo Gone should do the job.

try really soapy hot water, but this goo gone stuff sounds industrial strenth so that might work better.

like i said i paint for a living and there are things we wont use that stuff on cause itll ruin almost any finish. you might wanna try something called crud cutter. its a degreaser and works removing adhesive stuff pretty good and it wont hurt the finish. you can get it at home depot

Just wash the Goo Gone off afterwards and then re-wax the area.
