Default re-painting 98 accord

Hi, recently I've been considering re-painting my Honda Accord Sedan and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where I could go to re-paint it. I plan to spend no more than $500.00 if that's even possible; I live in Fort Worth, Texas.

You get what you pay for that's for sure. Had the worst experience with Macco... would never recommend them to anyone.

it's not their painting, it's the fact that they dont put quality into the prep work.

let me guess, the paint started to lift and peel?--

iyou have to take the current paint off yourself and then primer it. maaco's paint jobs arent that bad.

Well, the fact that it took them 3 weeks to paint a spoiler and each time i went to pick it up, the paint was still wet. A friend of mine, who had is toyota repainted by them had to get it redone a year later because of peeling and rust.

This is why I said, you get what you paid for... Best to pay real professionals.

Well I was thinking about Maaco but I know for a fact that they don't have quality paint job services. My sister got her car painted in Arlington for $900.00 -- it's a pearl white and when the sun shines on it, it changes to blue and sometimes pink -- and it's great! She asked them for an estimate to see how much it would cost to paint my car - which has dents all over - and they said $700.00. Everyone says they did a great job on her car...maybe because of the fact that it's been almost over a year and has been through hell and back and still isn't rusting or peeling. Not even when people swing their door wide open and hit her door.

Okay so what do you think of Earl Scheib in downtown? Here's the link I found on the internet: http://www.earlscheib.com/pro1.php

the thing about maaco is that they dont strip the car, weatherstripping, headlights everything, they dont sand down the entire car, they dont prime and their paint sucks, peels and comes off so that you can see the shiny old paint underneath. speaking from experience.

Listen to what the other people have said. I have heard only bad things about Macco. If I was in your place, I would try to ask around to see what other people's experiences are. The dealership may even know of a good place to go. Good luck!
