I've been thinking about replacing my stock rear wing with the alex aero adjustable rear wing or the spoon duckbill style.. i just want some opinions, is the alex wing to "ricey"? I know its not played out, because i've only seen one hatch that had it and that was in a recent importtuner. The spoon style wing seems to be everywhere i look and i want to be a little different from the rest..

With a wing of that size, I think it looks off if that's all you have on your car. Though if you did have other body pieces (like a rear valence, sides, etc.) then it'd probably look more proportionate.

But since the wing is black on that car, you might be able to get away with it (kinda like the 'black looks slimming' idea). But to me, just having a wing that's bigger than normal just doesn't look right on an otherwise stock car.

 

yeah the car isnt gonna be stock for long.. im installing full coils and 16in black rota slips.. the reason i want to replace it is because the paint is fading on the stock one and i really dont want to paint it. i do plan on adding a vis oem cf hood to match if i go with that wing.

 

i say go with the vis cf duckbill. my bro has one on his ek and it looks sessy, along with his vis cf hood, vis cf spoon style lip, and vis cf hatch.

 

it's too big... get the cf duckbill one... looks much cleaner

 

unless you're racing on a track and need the rear downforce like that guy, you dont need it.

 

Not 'ricey' just abit.......well big. Anything smaller? like the spoon carbon?
