Starting Project EF
Teg_92 inspired me to post on here because he had such beautiful success with his project.Although i have not seen it in person i can only imagine.I have been a huge crx fan for a while now.I have been looking for one ever since i sold my mint si.Anyways i found this one about 5 mins from my house. It is a 1990 Crx HF,so its around 1900-2000 pounds stock(forgot exact weight). It actually in very good shape considering most of the crx's you find are rust buckets. It has 168k miles on it and i payed only 850 for it in perfect running condition*knocks on wood*.Im gonna be going through a similar project to Teg_92's.Mostly body work and then a paint job to finish it off.Engine swap is in the future, but im gonna enjoy the 14 dollar fill ups and 55 mpg for all i can. Here are some pics to tie you over till the body work begins...
Im traiding the fenders for stock ones monday...
Driver side...only rust on it is the rear quarter...about a inch
This muffler is actually quite believe or not....but hideous and a es oval will replace it
Just waiting for the vacuum...
Driver side rust...
Passenger side is a little worse, nothing a little body work cant fix...
Not bad mileage for a crx...
For the finale the high revving 68hp engine's tach...

Today what i did...removed z3 fenders and mirrors,88 crx bumper,re-aligned the hood. For body work,i smoothed most of the dings on the driver side.Removed a hideous wiring job for the power mirrors, vacuumed out glass in the door skin.Removed all trimming and painted it semi gloss black.Looks like brand new...here are some pics of it all messed up.Enjoy!
