ok i got some rims which are 17's but i dont kno if the width of it is for sure 8 inches wide or 7.5 inches wide?? the tire size is 205/40ZR17...what does this mean my width would or could be for the rims?? and if my tires are 205/40ZR/17, do you think it will rub if i lower 1.5 inches??

 

Are there any kind of stampings on the wheels that tell you the size of the wheel? Sometimes they're on the inner part of the wheel close to the holes to where the wheel lugs go or on the spokes.

So did you end up getting those C2's?

 

i allready mounted them on my car...ill prolly take one out and see if it has any stampings...what about measuring the tires when its mounted on the car?? i measured the width of the tires on the car and it measured 8 inches...could it be 1/2 inch smaller than the real size or even 1 whole inch?? and yea i got those type c's and found out that they were the old school type c's wit the ddc lip..soo im happy with it....but i wanna make sure i wont rub if i lower it soo i wanna make sure what the width is...people say 8 inches will rub but i be hitting hard dips and dont hear any rub what so ever with my stock suspensions...soo iono if i got 17X8 or what...
