it's pretty damn whack. it's an auto, leave it alone. automatic cars dont need shift boots unless it's made by chevy. for some reason impala's, monte carlo's, and trailblazers all have boots on their auto trannies, it looks stupid. it looks just as stupid in accords.

Just add the shift knob and leave the boot, Try to buy a MOMO shift knob. It will look nice.

I think it looks stupid, hurts functionality, and is right up there with putting a VTEC sticker on a non-VTEC car.

They fall into the same category. Unless they're changing the above mentioned items for function, why bother?

I wouldn't go that far.

somtimes it can be pulled off alright. other times, it looks plain tacky.

I don't think I'd do it, but its not like its gonna hender/help. its just one of those mods we've all done for the sake of doing.

Okay, then it's the same as non functional hood scoops and heavy ass chrome 19's on a Civic. Sorry you don't like my opinion, get over it :slap:

are we talking about adding a leather boot to an automatic shifter? If so .. I'm with 98CoupeV6, that's pretty brutal.

Swapping an automatic knob is one thing that's perfectly fine ... but making your auto look like a stick? Might as well toss on a Type-R badge.
