has anyone bought a silver carbon fiber hood? i kinda want one, but don't know who carries them, if they are as durable as reg. c/f, ... i've seen it once on the carbon-creations website, but it's not listed any more. a google search found some, but from companies i've never heard of...



so yeah, looking for any one who has bought one, or has had experience with it/ or companies

ViS makes silver CF lips and may have some hoods in the future. I would stick with the trusted brands of normal CF hoods...

 

i've heard carbon creations' products were good, but the other companies (vis, seibon) haven't had anything yet... it was almost a year ago i think that i saw the sil c/f hood on the carboncreations site...

anyone ever seen them on another (reputable) site?

 

I think the silver looks like exhaust gaskets.

silver cf is actually not real cf. its actually fiberglass with a thin layer of aluminum on it

 

really? i always thought it was CF w/ some kinda coating. hah, ya learn something new every day

 

silver cf is not very good looking IMO
