Default 17"s or 18"s

I'm looking at buying new wheels for my 95 Accord EX. I currently have the 15" OEM wheels and Michelin tires. I'm not too concerned about the increased wheel weight and experiencing reduced acceleration. I would like to go with Axis Mods but they come in 18s only. I would prefer 17s for the sake of ride quality.

Any opinions or actual experience in the difference between 17s and 18s for ride quality.

Thanks!

If ride quality is what your after then go 17 thats what I plan on doing because of the same reason. Is your car lowered, if its not then I wouldn't put anything bigger than 16 IMO.

Just get some 17s that look similiar to the Axis Mods. 17s on a 5th gen basically give the same "larger wheel" look that 18s give on a 6th gen, Accords just keep getting bigger! Remember as well that wheels with a large lip like the Mods will look smaller than those without a big lip. IMO anyways. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a 1" drop from H&R OE Sport springs and Koni Yellows with rears set on top perch and fronts set on middle. I'll take a look at Exel Echo in 17s as they look similar to the Mods. I'm also considering OZ Superleggars in 17. I would prefer a lip.

I was totally opposed to 18's before my girlfriend insisted (I mean sugested since it's not exactly a performance car anyway) that we put a set on my Accord, and I was pleasantly surprised. My Civic rides MUCH worse but I guess most of that may be from the stiff-sidewall Azenis tires. I've got PZeros on the Accord and it drives like a factory "sport sedan"; about the same level of harshness over bumps as a stock M3.

I don't hit potholes or curbs though. I'm sure they'd be egg shaped in a hurry if I did.
