well im getting my dents taken out of the trunk lid and getting it repainted. Anyone have an estimate of how much it would cost to get them shaved at the same time?

if you do it yourself, shouldnt cost you more than $30-$60

to give an estimate would be hard, because it all depends on how big the dents are, how much bondo work has to be done, and how long the repainting procedure is going to take.

I'm not a fan of Bondo, I've seen the headaches Carlos went through on his Accord. Yes it cracked quite a bit on his car.

-Ok but you have to seal the backside of the holes; you can't just plaster bondo in there. You can see where the "A" emblem clips into on the backside of the trunk but not the "ACURA" emblem. That's why I made this post; I don't see a way to seal off the backside of the "Acura" emblem holes. All I'm trying to do here is to find the best possible way of doing this.

That's exactly what I thought, but yes the Acura badges on the trunk have holes behind them. I'm thinking about having the holes welded shut, grinding them down, sanding and repainting the trunk.

Different body shops have different labor charges. It would be difficult to give a good estimate.

If you want a truly permament solution, the best way is to strip the trunklid, weld up the holes & grind the surface flush. then re-prime and re-paint the entire lid.

It's a hell of a lot of work. h:
