I have a 91 accord, and I want to make it cooler.... i already have some things, but now I want tinted windows and a muffler top, which leads me to my quesiton...

do those do-it-yourself tint kits from wal-mart work if you do it right?... and also do big bolt-on muffler tips make your car louder? or are they just for looks.

if its just the tip, its not gonna sound louder unless you get a whole new muffler that is bigger. dont just put on a muffler, it will sound horrible, get a full catback and do it right the first time. as far as the window tint goes, i dont know but i wouldnt trust it. welcome to HAN.

Tints should be professionally done unless you don't mind them looking like a bubbled mess.

The muffler tip will increase your reputation up to 3 stars, yo. :exnbp:

But seriously, they don't do anything but hang there and look stupid. Like stratguitarist said, save your money for at least an axleback system, if not a full catback system.

 

man.,.. I was 16 when i got my accord, and trust me dont get cheap ass crap that will just make people laugh at you when ur ina accord. try drop it first, then get tints, then work on basic bolt ons that will slighty add HP. putting on a tip will make u look like ur car is farting at 80mph when ur just pulling out of a parking lot... :barf:

 

if you do tint...you'll probably end up doing it again because i did mine and it turned out okay...

if you have two ppl then it really helps...oh and a heat gun.

as far as the tips, it shouldnt change the sound.
