Default Which color?

Hey,

I got a FBP 00 Civic, i plan on painting my lips and sideskirts by myself. with duplicolor, which color would best match? univ. black, black, or nighthawk black pearl? Also, what kind of duplicolor primer/clear coat would i need? Thanks

If I were you, with experience in dealing with Advanced AutParts, if you have one in your area, buy one can of each and go home and spray it on a test material and find the one that matches the closest to your car. Then take the others back with your receipt and say you didn't need em. That way u find the one u need without going back several times. Primer wise, I don't see why it would matter as long as it is duplicolor auto primer. Just make sure it's primer and not gray paint. :chuckles:

if you're just painting them and there is no damage then you don't have to primer it at al. Primer is mainly used when there has been damage fixed to help seal the sand scratches from having to bondo and stuff. But if you're just sanding and painting, you don't have to primer it first.
