Default Help making car better

Help! I have a 4 door 98 honda civic lx, and i want to 'pimp my ride.' I need some ideas. The tags on my car will expire in march, and at that time i was thinking of buying a new car (another honda of course), with everything that i DON't have on this one - chrome rims, body kit, spoiler, sunroof, DVD/CD/MP3 player, tinted windows, the whole nine yards. But maybe there are some things i can do to current car, to get it to where i want it to be. Any suggestions?

now, i know i am washing a jetta in this pic, but this is my male companion's car. We have rivalries all the time about whose car is better, but he likes modified Honda's. He is in coolwater club in jersey. He is the one that encouraged me to start modifying my car. Hope u like! My car can be seen in the back.

how much are you looking to spend? i would do some suspension work first to make the car handle better and thus, making it funner to drive

well, i can do everything in bits and pieces, i realize that these things are expensive. I was hoping that around income tax time, i could put more money into it, but for now, i guess i can afford $300-$500 dollars. I also need some help learning all these terms, i am new to the game. By suspension do you mean the stuff that makes the car sit higher/lower?

yea like the stuff that soaks up the bumps and stuff. click on some of the ads on this site in the top right corner and they have all different things that you would want. you can buy different springs that make your car lower and your ride stiffer. there are also different types of struts(shocks) that help with the handling also. www.andysautosport.com is a good site to look at.

Get a Jetta, join his club

JK.

It really depends on the direction you want to go, and your budget.
