Default car lighting

hi, i'm planning to put HID (high intensity discharge) on my car but do not have any knowledge about it. When an HID product has 7500K, what does it mean? does the "K" represents its power? for example: 10000K is brighter than 7500K. Or does the "K" represents the color of light output of the HID?

The K determines the frequency of light coming out. It doesn't mean it is any brighter, just a different part of the spectrum. Anything more than 7500K is merely cosmetic and in most cases puts out less light than a stock headlight system.
