ScratchX is very...mild. Actually. It has a hard time removing light swirls (which is really just light scratching), let alone remove key scratches.

but..yea..if it says bitch..and its pretty deep, you prob dont wanna just try to hide it, just get it repainted or go with a nice carbon fiber hood!!
I bought a brand ne 04 coupe and got keyed 2 weeks later. Ya wanna talk pissed ! Anyway, unless it's VERY VERY shallow painting is the only way. I can tell you from my experience a couple things to look for if you repaint. First of all, where is the damage? If it's in the middle of the hood you're m,uch better off than close to the edge. If it's in the middle they can match the color and spot paint it. If it's near the edge they will probably tell you they have to partially paint part of the fender that the scratch is close to in order to blend it for color matching. Some may even tell you they have to do that anyway no matter where the scratch is. I called a lot of places and found a place that told me they could spot paint it since it's in the middle (trunk lid) and wouldn't have to touch connecting panels. The job looked exactly like the rest of the car. However, 2 more things....
1)-they didn't take the scratch all the way out and while it looked perfect, the paint sunk into the scratch as it cured a couple weeks after. They had to repaint it a second time and i told them i want the scratch all the way out. So make sure to tell them that ! They said it was a mistake on the part of the worker who did it, but i tend to think it was a time saving measure that didn't work out !
And 2)-you might have trouble getting a good color match since the car is used and the paint may be faded slightly. If so, i'd make sure they give you a satisfaction guarantee of a perfect match before you give them the go ahead. As a matter of fact, no matter what be sure to ask about thier guarantee and have them fully explain how far they go towards customer satisfaction after the sale.
