Default Painting interior carpet / vinyl

Has anyone changed the color of their interior carpet / vinyl with that vinyl spray paint? I seen them for sale at my local Schucks and Napa, just wondering if anyone has done it yet.

My interior is blue and I want to make it black, but dont want it to look ghetto spray painted.

i used vinyl and carpet paint you can get it in advanced auto or any store with car products i usually take a cloth and rub it on you might have to spary it on to cover it all up but it is absorbed by the vinyl i did my whole 94 civic with it in black i swear by it.... i did the carpet too... take out your seats and have a fan ready.. you need a lot of ventilation. but it came out really good doesnt fade or rub off..it will take probably one can for the carpet and maybe 2 for the rest depending on how much your going to do

my seats are blue cloth.... did you paint your seats? I was thinking about painting it but I dont want to wear a white shirt and then look like an idiot when I get out the car because the carpet paint rubbed off on my shirt.

Any way I can talk you into taking pictures of your dash for me?

one thing people here do is remove the part you want to paint clean it well then use steel wool or ultra ultra fine sand paper then spray with exterior touch up paint and clear coat.the paint can be color matched easier to the outside for very nice results. of course this only works for removable plastic ie vents console etc...
