Usually for best lighting, you should stay around 4100-4300k and no more than 6000k.. After 6000k, you will start losing lighting and wont be able to see as far as 4100-4300k...

And of course when you get new bulbs, you have to colorshift the bulbs (break them in) to actually show their true color...

Actually, there is a company that makes pure yellow HID's. 3000k.

Supposedly "fog" lighting, but I'm sure you know that HID fogs is a contradiction in itself.




I'd get it for aesthetics, not function.

^^ ya they are usually for asthetic... But i probably want them to be used more for function...

For function, a yellow halogen would be best for fog, but around here, I can count the number of times we've had fog on one hand. I use my fog/driving lights for spotting potholes.

yea thanks yall, actually learning through yalls discussion...by the way it's joe if yall care I plan on selling my HIDs actually and maybe going for a lower temp like 6000K.....my friend just got a 6000K kit for his car and it looks really good

did you retrofit them in or did you just throw them in stock housing or jdm housing?
