Default Japanese Type R front end swap?

I just bought a 94 GS-R 4dr. I've always been a much bigger fan of the Japanese Type R front end. Could I swap out mine for the Type R? What modifications would I have to make? Also, how much should I expect parts to be comming from Japan and all? Thanks!

before someone blasts you and says SEARCH!...
I'll just say sure it's possible if you are really into it. Who knows how tough it might be tho. I doubt you'll get a good deal on one either.

well its not that hard just require time and lots of effort...the hood, fenders and the bumper need to be replace, installing it will need 2 people just to save time. i help one of my homie install it and it didnt seem that hard... but it just take some time just to make sure parts are in perfect. getting the actually parts...i dont know where... look in classif.

Okay. I can see where you're coming from...

But it's still a valid request that members use the search engine.

The alternative to searching is what we battle constantly...having the same damn topic coming up over and over and over again.

We archive millions of posts for a reason - to help people get their question answered as quickly and accurately as possible.

Not using the search engine leads only to forum stagnation and frustration for the management.

So please - at least give it a shot once in a while.

it can be done, ur probably looking at the very least a 1500 or more, don't quote me on that i'm just guessing. But as stated above you need hood, fenders, bumper, headlights, and i think everything should bolt right on up with no/little modification

Dont forget the JDM radiator support, the us spec radiator bolts up to the JDM one nicely. Also you will need to wired the headlights because the use different sockets and bulb sizes so cutting and crimping will be required.

I personally have done the conversion. it looks awesome and i prefer it over the usdm. BUT I STRONGLY SUGGEST GETTING THE OEM JDM FENDERS (FOR EASE OF FITMENT) AND RAD SUPPORT(REQUIRED, THE USDM WON'T WORK)AND OF COURSE THE HEAD LIGHTS ARE ALL OEM. HERES A LIST OF THE PARTS I USED.

-JDM CARBON FIBER HOOD(AFTERMARKET OE FIT)
-JDM BUDDY CLUB 2 FRONT BUMPER(SMALL BIT OF FITTING REQ)
-JDM OEM RADIATOR SUPPORT(WELDING REQUIRED)
-JDM HEADLIGHTS
-JDM OEM FENDERS
-S2000 SIDE MARKERS(FIT IN STOCK HOLE IN JDM FENDER)
-HOOD LATCH FROM A CIVIC (IF YOU DON'T GET THE JDM ONE)
-US BUMPER REINFORCEMENT W/ THE CORNERS BENT IN (YOU CAN USE THE JDM BUMPER SUPPORT I THINK, BUT YOU'LL HAVE NOTHING PROTECTING YOUR FRONTEND.
I GOT EVERYTHING BRAND NEW FOR 2K W/OUT LABOR AND PAINT.
GOOD LUCK :irock: IF YOU HAVE ANY Qs ABOUT ABOUT ANYTHING EVEN SMALL DETAILS LET ME KNOW.
