Default Painting questions

Heres the deal. Under the fron't bumper of my brand new graphite pearl accord there is an area about 10"x1" where it scraped the pavement when going in a driveway with a steep bump. It's mostly not visable unless you crouch down, but never the less i wanna fix it. the plastic is torn up a but so it needs to be sanded smooth then sprayed.

my question is, can i spray the honda metallic touch-up paint thru an air brush, and what solvent would i use to thin it? I may just leave it as is with touch-up brushed on. But it would be pretty simple to spot spray the area if that paint will go thru the brush. And being a hard to see area it doesn't have to be perfect.

For the record, the only reason i am even considering this over the simple brush touch-up i already did is that there are little tufts of plastic sticking up that are noticable more than the lack of paint was. So the fix is of course to sand it down. But in doing that i would then need to spray because the entire area would not be 100% void of paint after sanding and brushing it would be out of the question.

yeah... it just might be possible to trim off the portruding bits with a razor or exacto-knife. then you could touch up. I like the duplicolor pen thing for small jobs, but yours sounds a bit big for that.

I thought of that, but i really would rather sand it all smooth.
