i'm sorta shocked

Have you ever read opinions on a product that were so so only to find it was the best thing since sliced bread for you? Or visa versa.......rave reviews but for you it was mediocre. Sometimes the opinions vary so much it's hard to understand how the varience can be so wide. This happened to me today.

i was told to try eagle one detailer when i asked about a detailer that doesn't streak. Mothers just wasn't cutting it in either shine, feel or streaking. So at lunch today i bought some EO "wet wipe and shine" and tried it on a couple small sections. I was thrilled with the results. But that was nothing compared to when i got home and did the whole car (2 week old 04 accord in graphite pearl) in literally less than 5 minutes ! Not only does it not streak AT ALL, but i didn't even need to wipe dry with a dry cloth. In fact, all i did was to take 2 sheets of scotts shop towels folded together (you gotta try these if you haven't) and wipe it on till it disappeared, which took no time at all. I have never used any product of any kind that was this easy. It supposedly uses teflon, and also supposedly repels dust. That remains to be seen over the next day or 2. But the feel.....man, it feels like running your hand over butter. Just awesome.

Now heres the kicker, and since i was only looking for one that didn't streak, it was like icing on the cake. (vast understatment !) The car looked wetter and deeper than anything i have ever used..........no wax or synthetic or detailer. I didn't even know this paint was capable of looking like this ! i kid you not, it looks like theres a 1/4" sheet of glass over the car. I literally cannot believe this stuff ! And at 4 bucks, this stuff is IMO the deal of deals. For me at least, it can't possibly be better than this.

Now i know a lot of you will dispute this, and hence the title of the thread. But theres got to be a reason, and i think as far as how it looks, this might possibly be due to my car's darker color, which would account for less than great reviews from those with light cars.(tho it still wouldn't accont for reviews stating less than great feel or ease) i would still think light colors would benefit, but my experience shows that light colors show the difference between good and mediocre products much less than dark. Another possible reason is because i know that a lot of people will reply saying thiers works better not having even really used the product in question. To those people i say, do yourself a favor and try it! To those who have dark colored cars and HAVE used it and don't think it's amazing stuff.......read the thread title ! I still can't get over how amazing my car looks right now...again, read the title ! ;)

If you're looking for an easy application...Eagle1 Wax As You Dry works very well. Spray on wet car...wipe off while drying = great results... For a "real" carnuba wax paste I use Meguire's Gold Class Wax. :)

I'm not looking for that kind of ease if it's not as good as a paste, which of course it wouldn't be. The detailer is where i want the ease, and i found that. But do they have any pastes that are in the same league as the big boys?

Wax as you dry is awesome between waxing. :) I like to dilute it.

But..they don't have any pastes anymore. Used to, not anymore.
