will paint thinner/remover work on painted alloy rims? Someone is selling painted gunmetal rims and i wanna take off the paint..will it be an easy task?

 

Depending on the strength of the stripper, it should be fairly easy. It'll just get really messy, quick. Just make sure that you have a place to properly dispose of the bubbled up paint that you need to scrape off the wheels once the stripper has worked. You might also want to get some steel wool (fine) to get any left over that the strippier might have left behind.
