i took the bumpers off and had help of a friend
i measured the lip against the bumper making sure it sat at the right height on each side...
check and double check before drilling holes...
also you can use markers to help draw lines to help align things up

do you think it would be easier with the bumper on or off? the reason i'm wary about mounting it while the bumper is off is i don't want the lip to flex the bumper out of orientation and not allow me to mount the bumper back on.

also what did you use to mount the lip--just screws?
it came with 4 or 6 screws i can't remember now. but nothing for the rear
the mugen front has two holes in the middle section that hangs onto the lower edge of my bumper and then also has those tabs on the end. soo two in the middle, and two on each end.

i heard someone say something about using some kind of shim to hold the lip upwards a lil more idk.

screws and double sided tape i used for mine. I originally put them on the car with the bumpers on. was a pain in the A** that way. I redid the rear lip with hte bumper off the car but when i remounted the bumper it didnt stay over the clips on the sides

Where would you get a rivet gun? I'd like to redo the installation of my front lip and I know damn well that the screws I put on there isn't gonna hold.

I had my side skirts, rear apron, and front "Type R" lips riveted then painted over the rivets. Worked pretty well. Screws rust and back out.

hmm.. well you can't really remove rivets.. and i'd have to take these on and off for summer/winter..

i'll see about just using screws.
