Right from the factory
Hi,
I have a friend in Taiwan who owns several factories that manufactures wheels, tires, and parts for cosmetic upgrades. Most of his orders are for OEM purposes. He is trying to expand his market to either the end users or retail store. This way, he can cut through the middle man. Since, he can't speak English, he had asked me to "explore" the possibilities.
Does anyone own or knows any retailer that I can contact? Or is anyone interested in buying straight from the factory?
Please feel free to contact me at ttju@yahoo.com.

Is this kinda like the factories that are contracted to make stuff for companies and then the factory owner churns out extras and sells them on the side?
Hehe, I have a bunch of no name brand tennis rackets from Taiwan that are like this.

Well, yes and no.
My friend is seriously thinking of entering the retail market and is ready to make custom wheels and parts if the demand is there. Of course the initial marketing has to prove that it is feasible to open a whole new line of products.
By the way, if you haven't noticed, many of the parts for cars are either made in Taiwan or China. Currently China still has a quality problem, but Taiwan has long been established as a quality manufacturer of car parts. Along with several other stuff like computer accessories, radio controlled cars and helicopters etc, etc.

He is the OEM for Tires and rims, but gets supplies for some other car related stuff straight from the factories. The owners of the other factories used to be his colleagues when they were all working for a large factory in Taiwan.
Hi,
I know. That is what I have been helping with him too. However, just rims alone is a whole range of products that numbers over 300, and he has no pictures for them all. Only some most popular ones and they need to be scanned. The rest we have finished taking photos for but still trying to put the information in English and into electronic format. Quite a task for just one man, even if it is just going to be a simple web page, don't you think?
