Default Color restorer/polish?

My mom made the mistake one day of using dish detergent to wash her CRV with. Now the bright red finish has been dulled and it looks horrible. What can she use to first of all get the color back, and then maintain a bright finish?

Compound it on a nice day and you should be good to go.

I would recommend Vanilla Moose prior to waxing (and Quik Shine in between washes) courtesy from the guys at Clearkote.

Clay bar will not do anything. The dish wash soap just removed all the wax. Daniel, I suggest using a multi step polish/wax to bring back the shine.

I still think the best way to go is to get it compounded and THEN waxed.

I just bought my first Mothers wax bottle the other day. Looking forward to using it as soon as I finish my brakes. :happysad:

Wash the car, dry it a bit, clay bar it, wash it again, dry completely, then wax and polish it.

Hi, after using the clay bar on it you'll want to protect it. Don't use a wax, use a polish. Use 5 Star Shine. We're a sponsor of honda-acura.com. You'll never need to wax your car again. Here are some places you can look for info. etc. If you do decide to order, use the discount code 'VIPDISCOUNTS' in the customer code box at checkout.
