Default painting aluminum

what kinda prep would be best? do i just primer it and paint it? :dunno:

I would prep and paint as normal. Just scuff sand it enough where the paint has something to adhere to. Not too much where you can still see the sanding marks through the primer. Also to play it safe, I use adhesion promoter to help it stick to the aluminum.

i love adhesion promotor as well but id also use an etching primer over the bare metal after you scuff it a bit. then maybe a sealer or a regular primer ( your choice ) then paint it after that. it should stick just fine. adhesion promotor does rule though lol

i had no idea u could use adhesion promoter with primer . ill give it a shot.
