Default Licence Plates

I have dealership plate frames on my car right now, which a co-worker pointed out covers up my state and is evidently illegal. I havent switched them because I don't know where to buy a licence plates frame.

Can some of ya'll take photos of your own or someone elses cool plate frames so I can get some idea's. Also where can I purchase this item.

And finally is it against the law to not have a plate in the front? I didnt put my front ones on and thought my car looked better without it, again the same co-worker says I can get a ticket or fined.

Have any of you got tickets for either of the above reasons?

front license plate depends on state you are in. I know if you are issued 2 plates it is the law to have one on the front and the rear. You might get away without the front one for a while but it is just a surefire reason to get pulled over by the cops. they generally use the no front plate as a starter and find other shit that is illegal

I dont know why you would want a license plate frame. I hated the dealer one, I wasnt getting paid to advertise for them and they certainly didnt give me any discount to drive with it on so it came off ASAP

So you dont have a plate frame, it is just your licence plate stuck directly to the car?

What about the dealership emblem which identifies where you purchased the vehicle, how do you get it off?

I was driving around with my dealer frames since the day I had my car, until I was rear ended in an accident and the body shop that did the work just took the rear frame off because it was smashed anyway, and just left my plate screwed into the car, no frame, when they gave me the car back.

Now, I dont know what I want to do because the dealer frames were kind of un-custom if you know what I mean, but I dont like no frames at all---I have been considering a smoked tinted cover or neon frames I have from Street Glow, which I have been considering having mounted BEHIND my plates so you can see the neon glowing behind the plates---not around them, which is crazy ghetto and played out.

My front dealer frame must have been hit too because half of it is missing; the bottom half of the frame, which said the name of the dealership, has been broken off, but I have just left it like that. I have also been considering plain chrome frames to complement the chrome emblems and exhaust tips, etc. on the car -- but not ones that say "Accord" or "Honda" on there----who the hell would need to be told its an Accord anyway with all the badging on the freakin trunk?

For licence plate frames, check your local Kragen, Checker's, Schuck's, or AutoZone or Pep Boys. There are some that are available with security allen key bolts to deter theft of plate or registration sticker.

You can get license plate frames at a lot of places. Any dealership for one have them, although they rip you off. Usually malls will have a stand that sell them with trendy quotes on them. Or if you have an Auto Zone or a Checker Auto they also have them. Hope this helps.
