115K miles, $13,500 what should he be looking for issues, clean carfax 1 owner

 

way too many miles. for $13k i'd rather get a lower mileage AP1. or spend at least $16k to get an AP2 with fewer miles.

but if he decides to go with it then these are the things I would have looked at: check convertible and seals for leaks/cracks/tears, coil packs, plugs, rear differential, check last time timing chain was replaced, listen for valve clatter (if it's noisy then probably needs valve adjustment), tires, oil leaks, etc...

 

i also agree. that's insane mileage for an 04.
