Ok, got the car in the driveway and did a thorough run-through. Whomever owned it before abused the leather pretty bad. There are some usual blemishes and the tires are entirely shot. The top center console cover is missing w/ the airdam. It also smells like mildew. As a car, I absolutely love how it drives but i feel it may have been neglected. They're gonna have to come in w/ a seriously lower price. i'll have another update later.

ah bummer.

I'm 6'6", and I can just barely get my knees under the dash to work the clutch. I have to turn the wheel hand-over-hand as my legs are right there. haha.

They said that the tires are gonna be replaced and the console will be fixed. They also dropped the price by $500 or so making it about $22k out the door including tax, title, etc which i'm not crazy happy with. If they come back with $19-20k out the door, Ill push the civic at them for $2000 trade and consider discussing financing $18k.

If you can walk away with it for that price from a Honda dealer than I'd do it without a second thought. If they do a nice interior cleaning before they give it to you, that should take care of that smell, and if they fix all the small issues, it'd be perfect.

I have 2 more appointments now at dealers within about an hour drive. One is a 2005 w/ 30k miles and a starting price of $18,950 and the second is a 2006 with 20k miles at $20,900. I'm pretty sure i'm gonna go w/ the S2000 this week, but i still want to drive a few other cars. I can't get infiniti to call me back though, which pisses me off.

Also, the original dealer has responded to me and said they want to negotiate based on the prices I just listed once I see the other cars. There's hope still. my biggest concern is the leather wear on this one though.

Ah, those other options are nice. I'd be interested to drive the 06 and see what the drive by wire throttle is like in the S2000 (I think it was put in that year), in my civic SI it is garbage (even after the reflash) - So keep that in mind. What colors are ya looking at? And do you have a mind set on what color you really want?

here's one of them:
(actually 40k miles, not 30 now that i look)http://www.wildehondaofsarasota.com/...ils/1080225164

These three are are all the dark silver. The only color i'm really against is the light silver. My favorite colors are probably the yellow or dark blue (sorry i don't remember the honda paint names). In the end, the color isn't a huge factor for me.
