i picked up a jvc unit installed the ir modfry with it so my dash controls still work. it plays dvds/cds/sat radio controls and you can plug in an ipod to the usb connector in back im happy with it. only one thing though your radio door will most likely have to be removed. its hard to get it to close right.

Alpine deck and Alpine speakers will be a huge improvement over stock!

just make sure the modifry DCI is compitable with the head unit. the headunit needs to be remote control capable, unlike the alpine 9873 (i found out too late)

I've got the JVC unit (DVD/MP3/CD) with the USB plug in the front. Works great. I also have the Modifry infrared dash control interface.

I didn't have an issue with the door with that unit.

Plug and play, eh. If you want speakers behind your seats it's really easy. 30 minute wiring job, just make sure you get small speakers because the gap is really small back there.

Huge diff' with two aftermarket alpines on the front, two tweeters and two more in the rear. Better than the Z4 setup.
